It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a
sentence to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in
all times and situations. They presented him the words: “And this, too,
shall pass away.” -A. Lincoln

I was going to write a post about how the Mother’s Day weekend made me sad about my own plans in that respect being put on the back burner.  It was going to be a whiny post about poor-me.  Then I got some perspective in the form of some news from a friend.  God really knows how to put my life in perspective for me and remind me that it’s not about what I do for my self, but what I can do for others.

Be thankful for what you have and for those things that you have an iota of control over.
